Lokhitam NGO Gave a New Life to a Mentally Disturbed Individual

A few days ago, our team at Lokhitam NGO got to know about a mentally disturbed man wandering near a local area. We immediately started tracking his usual location, and after a few attempts, we found him. His name or details were unclear as he was not in a state to communicate properly.

We began speaking with locals, and a kind man in a pink t-shirt helped us identify him as Pramod. With this vital info, our team planned to take him to Apna Ghar Ashram, Muzaffarnagar, a place that offers care and rehabilitation to such individuals.

As we prepared, people around started asking questions, curious about our team and our purpose. Thankfully, they soon understood and supported us — they helped clean him, gave him clean clothes, and made sure he was comfortable.

We initially waited for an ambulance from Haridwar, but due to traffic, our team decided to personally drive him to the Ashram. Despite the rain, our team remained determined, and Pramod felt safe and at peace.

Special thanks to Gokul Ramola ji, a social worker from Rishikesh, whose dedication made this possible. After completing formalities, we handed over Pramod to the Ashram staff.

We hope he now gets proper treatment, care, and one day returns to his family.
